POLITICO reports that DC Lobbying Firm Van Scoyoc Associates will release an advertisement which aims to shed better light on the lobbying industry and demonstrate the valuable services that lobbyists provide to state municipalities.  The ad also attempts to open up a dialogue by including a survey in which it asks questions relating to the readers opinions on lobbying and the needs of local governments.  Van Scoyoc Associates is one of the largest K street firms that caters to local governments, a segment which  has seen business declines due to slashed budgets and a decrease in available Federal funds.  The ad will premiere in the publication FundBook, which serves as a resource for local governments looking for funding opportunities.
