Earmarks are under fire from both sides as both House Republicans and The President have publicly promised to eliminate pork. Whether this hard line stance will prevail over time is yet to be seen.  But at present, pet projects have taken a hit. This has not caught the lobbying community by surprise as talk of curbing earmarks has been bantered throughout the last election cycle.  To manage this new climate, some firms have modified their tactics and are taking a different approach to earmarks for their clients.  In this video, Politico reporters Chris Frates and Mike Allen discuss these tactics and the new earmark environment.
